The team at general practice Assen-West consists of two general practitioners
Jan Pieter Kiers and Freek Fickweiler are two passionate general practitioners who together run the Assen-West practice.

Jan Pieter Kiers. Northerner through and through. He studied at the University of Groningen and has been a general practitioner since 2015. Over the past 5 years he has been active in two other practices in Assen before starting Huisartsen Assen-West. He has a special interest in cardiovascular diseases.
Freek Fickweiler

Freek Fickweiler studied at the University of Groningen and graduated as a general practitioner from the UMCG. In recent years he has been active in Assen. This made him decide to establish Huisartsen Assen-West. He pays special attention to minor procedures (including excision, spiral, implanon)

Please note: consultation hours are by appointment only. We do not have a counter assistant with whom you can schedule an appointment. Due to (urgent) visits, we may not be present on location. In case of emergency, always contact us via our emergency number before coming to the practice. No urgency? Then make a call-back consultation.
